Goethe University Frankfurt is one of the leading research universities in Germany. Around 2,500 professors and academic staff carry out research in 16 departments. The university is at the forefront of research in areas such as law and finance, life sciences (especially membrane proteomics, RNA-ligands interaction, bio-molecular nuclear magnetic resonance), drug research, cognitive neuroscience, heavy ions physics and interdisciplinary research on Africa.
The Chair of Mobile Business and Multilateral Security (www.m-chair.de, Professor Dr. Kai Rannenberg) is part of the Institute of Business Informatics. and focuses its research on innovative communication networks and their applications, as well as on related issues of privacy and security. Its mission is to find business models and technologies enabling the privacy-enabled and secure use of mobile communication and mobile devices for applications and businesses. The Chair coordinated the EU Network of Excellence (NoE) Future of Identity in the Information Society (FIDIS), and the EU project “Attribute based Credentials for Trust” (ABC4Trust).
