Dr. Ashish Kundu is currently at Cisco Research as its Head of Cybersecurity Research. Ashish’s current research interests are at the intersection of cybersecurity, quantum and AI with a focus on holistic security. During 2011-2019, he worked at IBM T J Watson Research Center as a Research Staff Member, and after that at Nuro as its Head of Cybersecurity. He has been honoured with the prestigious Master Inventor recognition multiple times by IBM Research. He has led security, privacy and compliance of self-driving cars, AI/ML and cloud platforms for healthcare, education. His research work has led to more than 200 patents filed with more than 180 patents granted, 100+ publications, and influenced several products in the industry. Ashish received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2010, and was awarded the prestigious CERIAS Diamond Award for his outstanding contributions to cybersecurity. Ashish has been an ACM Distinguished Member and ACM Distinguished Speaker. He is an IEEE Fellow and an AAIA Fellow.
