Marcel worked for several years in the field of computer security research, both in academia and industry. He held positions as Technology Advisor at Kaspersky Labs, Security Technologist at Huawei, Senior System Architect at Sirrix, and Research Associate at Ruhr-University Bochum and at University of Bonn. He studied Computer Science at the University of Bonn, and has a PhD in IT-Security from Ruhr-University Bochum. His focus topics are system security, trusted computing, secure operating systems, cloud and virtualisation security, enterprise security architecture, industrial IoT security and AI security.
