Péter Hegedűs received his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Szeged in 2015. He currently works both as an associate professor at the Software Engineering Department of the University of Szeged and as a senior researcher at FrontEndART Ltd. His research interests include static source code analysis, software maintainability and security, deep learning applications, vulnerability detection and repair. His publication record consists of over 80 papers which have appeared in top conferences and high-impact journals. He was a programme committee member in the ICSE, ICSME, SANER, CSMR, MSR, QUATIC, ESEM and SCAM conferences, and received various awards and scholarships during his career, like the prestigious Bolyai János research scholarship. He has led more than five EU projects from FrontEndART and remains closely involved with the industry. He takes part in various AI-centred software development projects as a project manager and is a founding member of the research team within FrontEndART which perform software quality and security audits for industrial parties.
