Wolter Pieters is professor of Work, Organisations and Digital Technology at the Behavioural Science Institute, faculty of Social Sciences at Radboud University, the Netherlands. He has an interdisciplinary background in computer science and philosophy of technology, and has published widely on cyber risk management, information ethics and human factors in cybersecurity. He focuses on responsible behaviour in relation to digitalisation, including safety, (cyber)security and privacy in work environments as well as responsible practices around artificial intelligence. He is also the national coordinator of the interdisciplinary theme “The human factor in new technologies” in the Dutch social sciences.
