Zhanet Zaharieva

Zhanet is a Quantum Technologist by training, co-founder and COO at Quantum Dice. She is a professional with diverse expertise across operations, commercial leadership and human resources, a team leader instrumental in building a spin-out company from inception to a business with enterprise customers, demonstrating resilience and strategic acumen in navigating the challenges of a competitive market. Zhanet orchestrated rapid company expansion and talent acquisition strategies within the quantum sector.

She also managed cross-functional teams executing innovative projects, exceeding deliverables and driving business success, as well as creating new market opportunities for quantum technologies, developed new market entry strategies, and closed high-value commercial deals with Tier-1 institutions across financial services.

Zhanet has a background in conducting world-class science and translating discoveries into real-world applications.  She holds a DPhil in Materials Sciences from the University of Oxford, where she investigated quantum dot technologies for environmentally friendly applications such as clean energy and non-toxic biotechnologies. Her novel research resulted in a patent application as an inventor. Her journey from academia to a high-tech entrepreneur contains her belief that scientific discoveries should positively impact society and that this is one of the key responsibilities of scientists.
