As the IoT definition became very broad, a new term, CPS (cyber physical systems) overlapping with IoT emerged. CPS are systems that have a computing component, communication component and a physical subsystem.
In 2016, NIST released a comprehensive CPS framework that included assessment tools for its trustworthiness. Since then, technology has moved forward. With the advent of comprehensive edge computing, extensive use of AI at the edge and in low power devices and other innovations, security and privacy challenges for CPS and IoT also evolved.
During the webinar, moderated by TDL strategic advisor, Claire Vishik, a group of panelists discussed the current state of the CPS/IOT architectures, their security and privacy and innovative solutions to improve their safety and security.
